Yin Lessen

In the Yin Yoga classes that YinSi offers, you connect with yourself by relaxing, stimulating and providing your body with new energy. Yin Yoga is a form of yoga in which we stay in a Yin Yoga posture for a longer period of time (2-5 minutes) to stimulate the connective tissue (fascia). Connective tissue is everywhere in our body and provides connection, flexibility and strength. We usually adopt sitting or lying positions during class, using various aids to stay in the position as comfortably as possible. In combination with light movement, subtle touch and natural breathing, attention is paid to the sensations in your body. This allows you to recharge physically and mentally. You literally stay in silence for some time so that you can take stock of yourself. The general goals of the lessons are: Increasing body awareness; Becoming aware of the (natural) breathing; Become aware of the muscle tension in the body; Stimulating the connective tissue (especially the superficial layer under the skin and the connective tissue in the muscles); Achieving eutonia (correct base tension) in the body; Being relaxed and recharged. The methods used are a combination of: Yin Yoga (physical and energetic); Self Myo Fascial Release (SMFR) using balls; Breathing and relaxation techniques; Manual facilitation of the neck/neck muscles; Thai yoga massage.
